Book food trucks and other street food on Nuento, easily and safely.

This guide takes you step by step through the whole ordering process, so you can book food for your next event quickly and with confidence.

On Nuento's front page you will find a search bar with three fields: where, when and the expected number of guests.

Fill them in and press **Search** to see the street food available at your location on your date.

At the top of the page you can filter the results by collection, for example food trucks, bars or hog roast. Just click the type of food you are interested in.

Found several you like? Save them as favourites by clicking the heart.

When you are logged in, your favourites follow you across devices.

Once you have picked what you want to book, you are asked to make some choices specific to it. Below are the most common ones you will come across on Nuento.

You will often choose between two amounts of food: a set quantity or "All you can eat".

**A set quantity** includes one serving per guest, which is roughly an ordinary meal. It suits lunchtime in particular.

**All you can eat** is sometimes included and sometimes an add-on. Your guests can eat as much as they like. It suits main meals such as dinner, and hungry crowds, for example a team of hard-working tradespeople.

Many of our suppliers let you choose your preferred variants, for example cheeseburger, chicken burger or veggie burger.

You will usually also be asked about add-ons such as chips or other snacks, and any starters or desserts.

Some suppliers ask how many of your guests are children, and take the child discount off your final price.

Others offer children's menus as an add-on, for when the children are to have a different menu from everyone else.

You may be asked how long the serving should last. Most suppliers offer 2 hours of service as standard, and you can often add extra hours if you need them. In the vast majority of cases, 2 hours is plenty.

Most of our suppliers can cater for all allergens and diets. Add a comment to your order saying which ones they need to take into account.

If you have comments or questions about your order, write them in the field about your event. It is both on the listing and at checkout, and what you write on the listing comes with you.

When you have put your order together and are happy with your choices, click **Go to order**.

If serving starts after midnight, make sure you pick the right date.

Choose the type of event that fits yours. You are then asked to tell the supplier about your event, so they can prepare as well as possible.

Check that the postcode and town are correct before you enter the street name and number.

If more information is needed, you can add it below. You can also give the supplier delivery instructions, for example where the truck can park.

Fill in your full name, email and phone number.

Your order confirmation and further practical information about your order are sent to your email.

Your phone number is how you log in to your Nuento account, with a code by SMS, so make sure it can receive text messages.

3.5. Power and other instructions from the supplier

Before you go on to payment, you may be shown instructions from the supplier. This is where you see, for example, whether the supplier needs access to power.

Our power guide helps you check what you need.

Check your order and make sure all the details are correct. Open the price breakdown if you want to see every line.

Choose whether you are booking as a private individual or as a business.

Fill in the billing address: name, street, number, postcode and town. If you book as a business, these details are filled in for you when you enter your company registration number (CVR).

As a business, also enter the email that should receive the invoice. You can add a requisition number or a note as well.

As a private customer you pay by card (Visa or Mastercard).

As a business you can also pay by invoice (bank transfer) or EAN invoice.

Nothing is charged when you place your order. If your event is more than 9 days away, the payment is split into two instalments:

Instalment 1 is charged as soon as the supplier has accepted your order.

Instalment 2 is charged 7 days before your event.

If your event is 9 days away or less, the full amount is charged as soon as the supplier has accepted your order. See When are you charged? for the details.

If you pay by invoice or EAN, you receive the invoice 4 weeks before your event.

If your event is less than 35 days away, you receive it as soon as the supplier has accepted your order.

When everything is filled in, click **Place booking now**.

Your order is now with the supplier, who just needs to confirm it. That usually happens within 24 hours.

Enter your postcode, date and number of guests to see who is available, with the full price up front.

Ordering guide: how to book street food, drinks and more for your event

🔌 **Most food trucks use a 16A red 5-pin CEE plug.** Many trucks without a deep fryer can make do with an ordinary 230V socket. Always check the power requirements with the supplier before your event.

One of the questions we hear most: how much power does a food truck need? This guide gives you the answer, so you can sort it out early.

When you book a food truck, make sure the venue has the right power for it. What a truck needs depends on the truck. Below is an overview of the connections food trucks in Denmark typically use.

The supplier can tell you exactly which plug, current and number of phases their truck needs. Here is a quick overview of the five connections you are most likely to come across.

⚠️ **Don't go by the size of the plug alone.** Check the rating in your fuse box, and confirm the exact plug and number of phases with the supplier. If in doubt, ask an authorised electrician.

Current: typically up to 10 amps (check your fuse box)

Current: typically up to 16 amps (check your fuse box)

No power is not necessarily a problem. Many food trucks are fully or partly self-sufficient.

Burners, grills and fryers often run on gas, which covers a food truck's biggest energy use without any power.

Gas for cooking

Some food trucks bring their own generator, and several suppliers offer one as an add-on if there is no power at the venue.

Generator

Most food trucks use a 16A red 5-pin CEE plug, while many trucks without a deep fryer can make do with an ordinary 230V socket. Always confirm the exact requirement with the supplier before the day.

Got the power you need? Then all that is left is to find a food truck for your event. If you are unsure about the requirements, ask the supplier or write to us at contact@nuento.com.

Compare food trucks for your event, and sort out the power directly with the supplier.
